Workerbase provides a rugged smartwatch (WB-3301) specifically designed for industrial use. The first Smartwatch for industry features many functions optimized for industrial settings such as a smartwatch QR code scanner. Its rugged form factor with an integrated barcode scanner allows for efficient use on the shop floor.

The Workerbase smartwatch comes in combination with the Workerbase’s Connected Worker platform. This software package allows you to configure data, workflows and process management for industrial use in a low code environment. This platform was created with the integration with modern IoT infrastructures in mind and includes many required features for IoT in manufacturing like enhanced security, interoperability, reliability and scalability.

The Workerbase smartwatch is a personalized device, meaning that workers get a unique environment by logging in through a secure two-factor authentication mechanism. All smartwatches are built to support multiple shifts and can thus be interchanged between workers. After logging in, users can use the industrial smartwatch for many different kinds of applications, e.g. in intralogistics, service / maintenance, SCADA, assembly or quality management. Industrial workflows can be tailored to each user with custom functions such as data collection, task assignment, sending information to other workers or to call for additional support.

Furthermore, the smartwatch QR code scanner and the integrated 8 megapixel camera of the smartwatch enable for efficient data acquisition and documentation. The smartwatch with camera can be used for taking pictures or video. All media will directly be sent to the Workerbase backend system for long-term archival or for integration to existing line-of-business applications.You can find out more about it here.

Industrial device portfolio

Workerbase supports a broad range of industrial as well as standard mobile devices. The industrial smartwatch seamlessly integrates with all other mobile devices (Android, iOS) and supports multi-user multi-device workflows. All workflows are orchestrated by the Workerbase software.

Furthermore, we expect to launch a new smartwatch towards the end of 2024 to early 2025 with new upgrades and additional features.
